If you’re a TJ Maxx-Marshalls-Home Goods lover (like me!) you’ve probably noticed that the Halloween decor has come out in full force! Which I have taken as personal permission to begin celebrating and decorating. This year, the trend is Cowboy Halloween. And I’m going to help you get the entire house on-brand. Ready? Let’s dive in!
Living Room
Item(S) No. 1
Coordinating “Long Live Cowghouls” & “Boo Haw” Pillows
These two pillows are the perfect pair! With contrasting shapes and colors, they’ll give you a festive couch no matter your non-holiday decor style!
Item(s) No. 2
Matching “Boot Scootin’ Spooky” Pillow and Western Throw Blanket
Need to spice up your couch with something a little less feminine? This set combines a more “subtle” (if Western is your definition of subtle) pairing that’s still full of holiday fun!
Bedroom
Item No. 3
Western-Cow-Ghoul Sheets
I’m not even sure what these sheets count as. Cowboy ghost? Ghost of a hat-wearing cow? Either way, I absolutely love that something this niche can be brought to my bed!
Pair me with Items 4-6!
Mini Cowboy Hats
This 12-pack of mini hats will help you turn some boring, run-of-the-mill decor into cowboy-rific Halloween joy. 🤠
Item No. 4
Light-up Wooden Ghost
This AA-battery-powered guy is just what you need to brighten up your window. Be sure to get his mini hat to keep him on theme, though!
Item No. 5
Cutest-Ever Highland Cow Stuffed Animal
I keep telling myself the western theme is only for this year’s Halloween… but I can’t shake the thought that I’m going to need to make sure this gal fits into every holiday from now on. 😅
Item No. 6
Skeletal Horse
This horse doesn’t need anything to be the perfect accent piece, but a cowboy hat would be an amazing add-on!
Kitchen
Item(S) No. 7
Contrasting Western & Halloween Dish Towels
My house is filled to the brim with holiday-specific dish towels. They’re so easy to change out each month and we’ve found a ton of fun options at TJ Maxx over the years. For a western-specific Halloween set, I recommend some mix-and-matching while playing with both colors and patterns!
Item No. 8
“Wanted Dead or Alive” Coffee Mug
If you want any kind of cowboy Halloween mug, you’ll find plenty of options online, using Amazon, Etsy, or Redbubble. I haven’t seen many “wanted” poster designs mixed with Halloween, though, so if you’re going for original this is the one!
Bathroom
Item No. 9
Fun “Howdy” Cowboy Ghost Shower Curtain
I love this pattern so much, but I also love the “moo” text in there that’s going to match perfectly with the the outdoor garden flag. (Not that the neighbors will know, but you’ll know!)
Item(S) No. 10
Skeleton Riding a Dinosaur Shower Curtain with Matching Skeletal Hooks
This could be an alternative shower curtain option, but if you have a second bathroom this is where it gets serious. These little hook charms are a must-have for the detail-oriented.
Indoor Wall Art
Item No. 11
Almost-Skeletal Cow Head Wall Art
This item nearly doesn’t qualify as Halloween-themed, but as one of the more expensive items on the list, it’s a great fit for anyone that likes western decor year-round. Particularly fun during Halloween, I think this could qualify for a mini cowboy hat, even. (I mean, it is a 12-pack… why can’t I top everything with one?!)
Item No. 12
Cowboy Skeleton Neon Sign
Another one of the most expensive items on the list, this neon sign is a show-piece worth putting near a front-of-the-house window to everyone on the street can enjoy it with you.
Item(S) No. 13
Cowboy Halloween Neon Signs
These signs, which are only a bit smaller than the above sign, have less detail but make an equally fun statement. Get one or both!
Item No. 14
“Howdy” Wood Box Art
If you have a small coffee table or buffet table you decorate, this piece will fit perfectly on it. It’s a great small piece that can pull multiple rooms & pieces together.
Item No. 15
“Long Live Cowghouls” Hanging Tapestry
If you passed on the previous pillow with this artwork, your second chance at the fun piece is here! I prefer this light background a bit more as it’s easier to see the design in my opinion… but I’m more of a pillow person.
Item No. 16
Skeleton & Horse Wall Art
This piece, on the other hand, is a must-have if you chose the cowboy-and-dinosaur shower curtain earlier. I don’t even think it needs to go in the bathroom, I just love that it’s a similar vibe to carry throughout the house!
Outdoor Decor
Item(S) No. 17
A Version of the “Moo… I Mean Boo” Flag
This phrase is so perfect for the theme, and combined with my highland cow plush it’s giving me such a big smile. I personally want the highland plush in my bedroom, but if you like showing off your holiday coordination, she’d go great on a buffet table in a front window.
Item No. 18
Cowboy & Dog Ghosts Statue
This ghost is probably intended to be indoors, but if you’re OK risking them being a single-year decor, imagine them either on your front porch or next to the mail box (you know, so they can say hello to all the neighborhood pups)!
Item No. 19
“Howdy” Welcome Mat
Finally, this piece–whether you use it when coming or going–will continually remind you that this Halloween is cowboy-themed. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
Item No. 20
Western Halloween Window Clings
OK, not exactly “finally.” If you’ve made it to the bottom of this list and you’ve thought, “that’s way too much effort and money I will 1000% not being doing any of this” then I have good news for you. These are six cowboy-Halloween-themed decals that take pretty much no effort and can get you up to speed. I believe in you!
