Need inspiration to gather up love songs for a wedding ceremony? My minister told me it would take exactly twelve minutes from start to finish. Here’s the music I played during our nuptials, so that our guests could have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. This made our ceremony much more intimate, while still allowing our guests to feel like they were participating in the moment.
Our super simple playlist: love songs for a wedding ceremony
- Before You – Benson Boone
- All of Me – John Legend
- Your Song – Elton John
- This will be (an everlasting love) – Natalie Cole
Total time (exactly 15 minutes)
This could also work for other lovely moments like:
- A vow renewal
- Any engagement party
- A proposal
- An anniversary Party
For me personally, I used this playlist to avoid social anxiety. By playing music, I got to opt out of everyone listening to me stumble through my vows. I think guests enjoyed it, too, because they got to hang out in a more relaxed environment during what’s normally a pretty formal moment.
The last song brought all of my favorite 90’s baby rom-com vibes to the scene. Announcing that we’re man & wife to that tune was a pretty fun moment for me.
