Are you looking for the best cakes in Picayune, Mississippi? I’ve been lucky to have worked in the party industry in Picayune, Mississippi for a few years now. What started as a small passion project as a balloon artist in 2020 is now my serial entrepreneurial spirit setting up yard cards & running this blog!
As a result, I’ve made a few connections and would love to share them with anyone who’s looking! Here’s a list of the best cakes in Picayune, Mississippi that I’ve personally tasted, worked with, and LOVED.
Have someone you recommend that I add to this list? Let me know! I’d love to make this a comprehensive party reference for anyone in Picayune planning a party.
I’ve struggled with writing this at all. The thought of putting this list in any particular order stresses me out.
Not only is everyone that I mention in this article incredibly talented, but they’re all excellent humans too. Not to mention, I’m positive I’m forgetting a few folks!
The best cakes in Picayune you can order from a local shop
Located at 211 W Canal St. Picayune, MS. This bakery is in the heart of downtown- in a building I used to own!
I know the name says cookies, but Ellen is a phenomenal baker. Everything I’ve tried from her case is excellent- not just the cookies. Here’s a picture of one of her cakes that I snagged from her Instagram. 🙂
This bakery is also located in the heart of downtown! At 109 West Canal Street Picayune, MS it’s on the other end of the street. When I worked down the street I would walk to KatyCake as often as I could to get a sweet fix.
The chantilly cake (and keto chantilly cup) is my personal favorite, but everything I’ve tasted from Katy has been delicious!
Paul’s Pastry Shop
Paul’s has a special place in my heart, it’s where my mama worked when I was a little girl. All of my childhood birthday cakes came from Paul’s Pastry Shop growing up. It’s not Mardi Gras at my house without a king cake from Paul’s Pastry, either!
Their location right next to Melinda’s Fine Gifts has saved me a time or two when I’m rushing to make a last-minute party happen! Weird, not me, the girl that planned her wedding in 3 days total. Paul’s Pastry Shop is located at 1 Sycamore Rd. Picayune, MS.
Best cakes in Picayune: custom orders from individuals
Katie is a local teacher at Pearl River Central High School who just so happens to bake the most incredible cakes in her spare time. Her specialty, you ask? Custom orders, colors, and flavors for special events.

Candace is another fabulous human I’ve had the pleasure of enjoying a custom cake with! When she’s not baking cakes or raising babies, she’s working at Mark’s Auto Repair.
