I’ve built and sold two balloon business as well as a yard card business. On EPE, I’ll show you how to do the same!

It’s crawfish season in the south which means a crawfish first birthday party is a theme you NEED. Here’s a theme you can focus on to make that pinching feeling in the back of your throat about your baby growing up turn into sheer JOY at how cute the birthday party is going to be!

Tip when shopping for a crawfish first birthday party online

There’s lots to choose from if you’re shopping local. I’ll share some of my personal local options below.

With larger suppliers, like amazon, for things like balloons you might find yourself missing a few items if you use the word “crawfish”. If that’s the case, check out what “lobster” decor you can find online.

At the end of the day, if it’s cute no one is really going to notice the small differences between a lobster or a crawfish. Especially when we’re talking about 2-D-ish things like emojis & balloons.

Color Scheme

For a crawfish first birthday party we kept it as basic as possible with:

  • Red (mud bug color)
  • Light & Dark Yellow (seasoning)
  • Blue (water? easy picnic supplies?)
  • White (an easy staple to work into decor)
  • Black (optional)

Supplies

This lobster inflatable is 24″ and a bit more authentic looking than the foil balloon I used previously.
Custom cookies from Missy’s Sugar Shop: perfect to share with a local cookie artist or order directly!
We used a jute and burlap banner from Amazon to display baby’s monthly pictures at the setup out back!
This first birthday high chair banner from Etsy is oh-so-cute. Add small black balloons to tie it all together.
These custom signs from SweetLagniappeDesign made our entry table & tiered tray PERFECT!
These family shirts from Daddy C’s offer a onesie option and name customization!

Food

It goes without saying, but you’ll likely have a crawfish boil if you’re hosting a party like this.

Just in case, we’re going to include some crawfish recipes for anyone looking for other mud bug specific options!
