Yune Yard Cards
This week is my third time buying into a turnkey business- Yune Yard Cards. I’m really excited to see what direction it takes me!
If you know me, then you know that I’m passionate about all things party-related. I’ve followed this particular business for years and I’ve been close friends with two of the owners.

I wrote a post a few months ago sharing the ins and outs of the yard card business, and why I think it makes a ton of sense for anyone who works in party rentals to consider!
So, what’s a yard card and why am I hopping back into life running a local business? Let’s start with the first part, yard cards are adorable signs that are staked into clients’ front yards to celebrate life!
Here’s an example of a birthday yard card:

It’s super cute, but that’s not the only way that yard cards are useful. Personally, I’m really excited to try a baby shower this weekend.
Gender Reveal, Baby Shower & Birth Announcement Yard Cards
Here’s an example of a gender announcement in someone’s front yard, setup by the previous owner:

I love how simple this setup is. It’s just SO adorable to me. I love the idea of announcing to neighbors the gender and possibly even the baby’s arrival with a customized sign including the name.
Other scenarios for yard cards I’ve found that I love are…
Retirement Yard Cards
The quality of this picture isn’t the best, so I’m hoping that once I get started I can book a retirement or two to celebrate so that I can market these a bit more.

What’s better than a retirement? Well, a graduation Yune Yard Card, of course! This can be a bit pricey as a business getting started. You want to be sure to purchase your local mascots in the correct colors. You’ll also want to update the years ahead of time to ensure you’re ready for grad season each year.

All in all, I’m really excited to see where this business takes me. I’ve set everything up for the business using HoneyBook to ensure I keep track of my bookings and calendar.
So far I’ve only:
- Built a lead form in HoneyBook. This is where clients can check out the services available, book for their event, pay the invoice immediately online, and get added to my installation calendar!
- Posted a few times on social media.
I’ll be sure to share yard card income reports later on, once I get the business up and running. From there, we can compare yard card income to balloon business income in the same small town in South Mississippi… with a population of 12k people!
Any time I’m feeling down on my ability to generate a self-employed income from home in my tiny little town, I look back at BomBoms. If I could create a service-based company in the party niche in the middle of a pandemic while pregnant… anyone can!
Thanks for reading along. I’ll keep you all updated!
