Y’all. I talked with this mama for months about this party. I worked this party through my two companies: balloon ninjas & yard card ninjas. I have been in LOVE with this theme ever since we first discussed it.
Isn’t this the cutest little three-year-old you’ve ever seen? The peace sign hula hoop makes my heart pretty happy, too. This is why I’ve named this balloon style a “hula hoop happy.”
Decor Inspiration
Balloon garland ideas, backdrops you can order off Amazon, and even gorgeous tablescapes work well with a groovy young, wild & three party theme!
I highly recommend hiring a local balloon artist or, at a minimum, dedicating someone to hang your party decor with a professional touch. <– Share this post with your hostess or bestie that’s helping you set the party up!
The backdrops my client ordered can be found on Etsy. We both played with them a bit to make them stand just right… but they looked gorgeous, in the end! My photo editing skills, on the other hand, are sub-par at best.
Product I LOVE
This balloon pump is perfect, whether you’re DIY-ing a balloon garland for your own party or building a balloon business. I’ve used this exact pump for years.
Balloon Inspo
I LOVE that this setup has more of a groovy pink approach instead of the other option: a young, wild and three animal theme.
I also really enjoyed making a “headband” for this adorable bus sign. It was a last-minute after-thought, when I only had tiny balloons left during the balloon installation, but look! It’s so cute!
Adding a wicker chair would be adorable, which is exactly why I think every party rental company should own a wicker peacock chair for events like this.
Photo Backdrops:
This backdrop from amazon is a super cute alternative to the custom signs on Etsy, and incorporates various shades of boho pink nicely.
I also own a Yard Card company, called Yard Card Ninjas. My nephew set up a groovy sign at the end of the driveway to help direct guests to the party on the day of the event.
We live in a rural area, so yard cards are a genius idea to help guests get to you!
Young wild & three groovy party: Sweet Treat Inspo
Every party needs a little something sweet! Here are a few inspirational pics of baked artistry that are as gorgeous as they are delicious.
I highly recommend sharing the photos with your local baker or pastry chef to bring your ideas to life.
Here’s my client’s adorable, groovy cake:
She used a cake topper to bring the theme together, which is something I highly recommend: whether you’re hiring a local bakery or asking your grandma to make a plain cake (like I do).
I also love this groovy cookie option:
I’m certain I’m missing a few adorable details of this groovy get together, so I’ll likely update this party theme in the future as I remember!
